"To Ask of God"
 

This scene portrays the simple farm boy, who, mustering his faith and courage, seeks a place of seclusion in his search for light and knowledge from the heavens. Having removed his hat in a spirit of reverence, he is taking his last steps toward the chosen place he sees ahead. Here he will kneel and offer his first vocal prayer.

Surely we each have moments in our own lives when, needing wisdom and comfort beyond what this world can offer, we walk with faith into our own "sacred grove".
